Testimony of Valéria Trojahn de Oliveira

I am Valéria Trojahn de Oliveira Executive Secretary of the Parish of Cachoeira do Sul/RS, in the Centro Campanha Sul Synod.

I enrolled in the course on my own initiative, because I thought it would be very useful for my journey with the community to which I belong, and I can say that it was very special, because as I participated, each day I wanted to know a little more, which helped me in the work that was developed, because whether I wanted to or not, I took on many tasks (which I still do) that I could share and carry out with other people. For we can all participate according to our gifts and abilities, being part of a big family, showing that we need to plan, dialog and share tasks.

Recognizing the differences and working through the resistances is a task for all members as part of the body of Christ, enhancing our commitment to God's mission.

We need to be ready for the necessary changes, because we cannot act as if nothing has happened or changed around us in the last decades.

Testimony of Hályfe Henrique Tietz

My name is Hályfe Henrique Tietz and I am studying at the theological seminary in São Leopoldo/RS.

To learn is an act of love and humility. When we are open to learning, God is in charge of teaching us and opening doors to success.

For me, to be a leader is to bear witness to the faith that the Holy Spirit gives us, it is above all to experience and feel the love that is shared, the peace that is lived, the communion and the embrace of God in community.
The course "Community Leadership" not only teaches us how to be an effective and committed leader in the community, but also aims at personal and social development.
To be a leader is to contribute to the common good and to use our best gifts for the Kingdom of God.
