Every promise of God finds a Yes in Jesus. That is why we also say Amen through you, Jesus. Mary also said yes to her child, who did not belong to her, but to the whole world.
The cot above was carved by indigenous people from the Guarani tribe in Brazil. It is reduced to Mary and the baby Jesus. The two almost merge into one. The intense eye contact is fascinating.
The project of the Brazilian partner church also focusses on the children. In the school of life in a socially deprived neighbourhood in Ariquemes, children have a safe place where they can play and learn. The staff look after them and show them how valuable they are in the eyes of God.
