The sustainability goals are very important to me as a person and for the diaconal ministry. On the personal aspects: The 2023 ELM F2GO camp in South Africa opened my eyes to the role of education (SDG 4) in diaconal ministry leading to justice and change.
As a result, I decided to start studying in the field of education, which has proven to be very impactful. Of course, I had appreciated education before, but I had never decided to do a new degree programme with this focus. Also, the experience in South Africa was an excellent immersion into a new culture. In my ministry, I found new ways to talk to groups about education.

Their views and thoughts about it have changed since then. A concrete example: the groups I work with have decided to invest in school supplies for less privileged schools or neighbourhoods. They have taken up the call to fight poverty with their own initiative. I see that as a great blessing.
