A virtual project visit with representatives of the Indigenous Mission Council (COMIN)
With a great deal of commitment, the staff at COMIN repeatedly succeed in creating material together with indigenous groups and working together for the rights of indigenous peoples.
Even if the "burning" issues in the truest sense of the word - such as the climate crisis - are a challenge and a request for our actions, it is important to listen to each other and recognise the plight of our fellow human beings and work for equal opportunities for all people.
Juliana Soares (black woman, Afro-Brazilian (Quilombola) and activist, teacher and coordinator of the Lutheran Diaconal Foundation's anti-racism programme) and Sandro Luckmann (white man, theologian and coordinator of the COMIN programme to defend the rights of indigenous peoples) reported on this.
