A message from the Mission Board
It is with great gratitude and confidence that we look forward to this special moment: the induction of our new Director, Holger Siebert. This day marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of our mission organisation – a chapter that we, together with our partner churches, are opening with hope, trust and joyful anticipation.
We are convinced that God writes history – including the history of our organisation with its global connections. In times of change, he provides new impetus, new leaders and new perspectives. The appointment of a Director is far more than an organisational decision. It is an expression of our shared mission to live out the Gospel credibly and to facilitate global encounters – in a world that needs guidance, hope and reconciliation more urgently than ever.
The Executive Board and partner churches are accompanying this transition with gratitude for what has been achieved so far and with confidence in what lies ahead. We look forward to working together, to new priorities, to bold steps and to the shared endeavour to find the right path for the future of our mission organisation.
We wish our new Director God’s rich blessing for his ministry, inner clarity, wisdom in decision-making and joy in his work. May he be sustained by trust, supported by a committed team, and strengthened by the fellowship of all who feel connected to this work – especially by the partner churches that stand by his side and share in the responsibility.
We are therefore delighted to be able to present to you on the following pages messages of greeting from the churches associated with us.
With heartfelt blessings and great anticipation for what lies ahead,
The Mission Board of the Ev.-luth. Mission in Lower Saxony (ELM)
