"Giving makes you happier than receiving"

The Ev.-luth. Mission in Lower Saxony was able to transfer 95,000 euros following the devastating floods in southern Brazil.

"Giving makes happier than receiving". Although this verse from the Acts of the Apostles (20:35) could stand above all fundraising activities at the Ev.-luth. Mission in Lower Saxony (ELM), we would like to take this opportunity to pick out a recent letter from our Brazilian partner church and share it with our readers.

Silvia Genz, President of the Evangelical Church of the Lutheran Confession in Brazil, expresses her gratitude to all donors for their support following the flood disaster in May 2024. "Peace and grace from God. We are grateful for the solidarity and generous partnership with the ELM. Through lived solidarity and a commitment rooted in faith, which is visible in the financial support for IECLB projects, we can strengthen and inspire life in the parishes, the witness of faith and the public work of the church throughout Brazil. We are very grateful for this partnership!"

Thanks to numerous donors, the ELM was able to transfer the sum of 95,000 euros and has accompanied the people in the affected communities and areas with prayers.
