Gender diversity

Gender diversity is becoming increasingly prominent in society and in the public sphere. Things are also changing within the churches. Same-sex marriages are now permitted in most Protestant churches in Europe.

At the same time, however, there are parishes that stand behind conservative clergy who describe homosexuality as a sin. It seems the Church is lagging behind social developments. Yet gender diversity is far more wide-ranging. What can the Church do to become more open and to support people on their journey?

Several events have now been held to explore these questions and to exchange views. You can find reports on these on the right.
