2023 bietet das ELM eine online-Seminarreihe an, die sich mit der Zukunftsfähigkeit von Kirchen international beschäftigt. Gemeinsam mit Christ*innen aus der internationalen Ökumene machen wir uns auf die Suche nach kreativen und hoffnungsbewegten Lösungen für typische Probleme unserer Kirchengemeinden. Die Konferenzsprache ist Englisch.

This online seminar is part of a series on global ecumenical learning. Different aspects of church life in Germany and South Africa are discussed with the help of short inputs by speakers from both countries. This is followed by a conversation of all participants. We look forward to a vivid discussion with members of the worldwide church - like you.

Part 3:

Cultural diversity is a buzzword nowadays. Especially in the cities, people from around the world live and work together. But how do we as church react to this new reality? Are our Sunday services and other ministries attractive only to the „in crowd“ - regarding music style, language, spirituality - …or  do people of diverse cultures feel welcome?

With the help of two short inputs from guest speakers from South Africa and Germany we will share experiences, biblical insights and “future proof” visions from South Africa and Germany.
