"I've always wondered, what they do in that church building down the road!" Is your congregation an active part of the local community? How do we bridge the gap between civil society, local government and church?
Jesus did not lock himself up in the temple but lived out his part of God’s mission amongst ordinary people on the streets and in their homes. Everybody certainly knew what his mission was all about. (How) can we reflect this approach in our congregations in South Africa and Germany?
We are pleased to once again welcome two wonderful speakers who will engage us on this topic:
Ms. Rebecca Ntuli is a professional nurse specialised in psychiatry, midwifery, community health and more. She grew up in Qwa-Qwa (Free State) before moving to Durban. Her two sons are studying. As an active member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church (ELCSA), she serves as help- and wellness-desk coordinator, Christian education teacher and a member of the Prayer Women’s League.
Rev. Stephan Gensicke is pastor in Lamspringe, a rural village south of Hanover, Germany, where he has served for 9 years now. He grew up in South Africa as well as in Germany and served in the Endlovini and Richards Bay parishes of ELCSA. He is married and has 3 kids.
Please register before 12 noon on 13th November 2025 on our webpage:
