"Partnerships thrive on encounters and therefore always offer the opportunity to compare one's own prejudices, old knowledge and clichés and replace them with one's own experiences." This is one of the key realisations that participants of ELM events, such as the "Southern Africa" partnership conference last November, repeatedly make. And so, one of our most important tasks is to regularly facilitate such encounters and then to talk about them - both past ones and those still to come this year.
When I look at our website, I am amazed at the range of offers with which the mission organisation publicises its work, connects Christians in North-South, South-North or South-South exchanges and supports projects of its partner churches.
In this newsletter, you will once again receive a small selection of what is on offer. However, I would like to invite you to take advantage of the full range of information offered by our mission organisation at www.elm-mission.net. It will be updated on an ongoing basis so that you do not miss any events or topics and can join us on our journey of mutual exchange.
Join us in our work, support the projects of our partner churches, be it financially, but not least in prayer and intercession or in direct contact with the staff in Hermannsburg or Hanover or in your local church. As you know, partnerships thrive on encounters!
With this in mind, I wish you God's blessing for the new year 2024 with the watchword from 1 Corinthians 16:14: "Let all that you do be done in love."
Yours,
Dr Emmanuel Kileo
Director
