Dear friends of ELM!

A new parliament will be elected in Germany this week. As an institution that looks beyond borders to people in other countries, we would like to see a government that does the same and shares our view that human dignity and human rights apply globally.

That is why we, the Evangelical Lutheran Mission in Lower Saxony, are joining the ‘For All’ campaign. By doing so in the days before the German election we remind voters that their voting decisions may not only have a local, but a global impact.

Our work is based on the fact that we can create encounters within the global church; we can facilitate an exchange of both spiritual and material wealth. This is also reflected in the articles in this newsletter, including a youth delegate's review of the international partner church consultation in South Africa.

Wishing you God's blessing and wise choices!

Dr Emmanuel Kileo
